Why? To who is that actually important and who will it effect; In the middle of the course? At the end of the course? Five years hence? Ten years hense?
But first you need to decide what makes a 'better' medical school and how you're going to measure it? Number of lectures? Number of exams? Reputation? Prestigious sounding clinical placements? Research that's so unrelated it won't make affect anyone for decades?
Given the GMC regulation and monitoring, I'd say that it has far more to do with the student than the school and the appropriate matching of the student to the school - unfortunaltely I have yet to meet an applicant that really appreciates this.
Interestingly, the last time (AIUI) the GMC rated the quality of junior doctors produced by school was in 2005 (the results of Tomorrows Doctors) the winner was quite suprising...
