London Course Materials And Mocks..

I am from West Yorkshire and would like to have some real guidance about taking the PLAB 1 exam ,although I had taken my PLAB 1 in August but unfortunately didn't know the format ...I have got no contacts with the people who have taken this exam recently.I had all the guidance from my husband's frens who have passed this exam at least 4 yrs back.Could u pleez suggest me the best study materials and any other important point to pass the exam.I was just short of 2 marks in my last exam.I had done PLAB digest n Oxford handbooks..Do u think I should get a new edition of Oxford handbook?Could u please help me..?Thanks

im so sorry to hear about ur situation, it's so sad to hear that ur just short of two marks.. well there's no need to get the new edition of oxford handbooks, as for me i even havent read all the topics from that book.. From my experience, what i learned from plab1 exam is that u just have to be familiar with the past questions and the themes that usually comes out of the exam..there's no need to read evrything in oxford, just the important themes.. with regards to plab digest it's a nice book but some of the answers are actually wrong..
also it's important to practice tym managemnt so practice with mock exams..Good luck to u..

Hi Dr i am also taking the exam in FEB 2010 AND AM STUDYING HARD TO pass in first attempt, kindly i am interested in getting these training materials and one thing more do u know any PLAB 1 courses in Manchester as i cant go to London as have a child so plzzzzzzzzz u can give me the notes and tell me some centres in Manchester which carry out some mock examz thanks alot

sorry i dont know any plab1 courses in Manchester..i dont thnk they have any.. regarding the courses..In my opinion,if u have the mock exams u can just practice at home and time urself..there's really no need to attend the course for the mocks..just do it at home and aim to finish atleast 2.5 hrs..just learn tym mangemnt well

Past 12 years papers categorised in the subject form.

6 mock exams ideal for practice timing as well as getting to know the format of the paper.

These are the only things I touched for my exam and I passed in the first attempt.
