I'm applying to UCL (5yr), Warwick(4yr), Birmingham (5yr) and Imperial(4yr). Also trying to sort out open days!
Did you apply for Medicine when you'd finished your BSc?
What sort of w/exp and volunteering have you done?

No, I didnt apply when I finished my BSc because I had really poor A-level results so I figured it would look better with some kind of postgraduate degree.
I'm volunteering for St. John Ambulance and Acorns childrens hospice, and sitting in on gynae clinics as part of my PhD... hoping (but failing) to get some GP experience also! I'm also working part time at an out of hours GP practice just as a receptionist.. hope that counts?! What about you?

Ah okay fair enough..i don't have great A-level results.. (ABB) but i'm hoping it will be enough!
Work experience; i've done a week shadowing an orthopaedic surgeon (and loads of experience as a patient- and i mean LOADS! lol). Also spent a week at a skills centre for people with severe mental and physical disabilities.
Volunteering; I did a bit in a nursing home and am going to do some more at Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham starting in a couple of months (once my ankle is better!) where i'll be on a ward just helping out/chatting to patients etc. Also done some cricket coaching in schools/clubs which is not really medical though!
I hope it's enough though..i know they're much tougher on graduates :/

LOL - i've had LOADS of experience as a patient also. One of the medschools (I think sgul) said own patient experience counts as tier 4/5 work experience so thats good!! You're skills centre week sounds fun, I might look into doing something like that!
Which of the entry exams are you going to need to sit for applications? I was thinking of maybe setting up some kind of study group especially for GAMSAT as I don't have science a-levels and therefore havent studied science since GCSE which is an awful long time ago! What do you think?

oo that sounds good- i was going to sit the GAMSAT and apply to SGUL too..but I don't think i'd pass the GAMSAT so i'm not any more! It's so hard!
Especially the physics stuff!
I am going to sit the BMAT though for UCL, so if you want to do that then that'd be good!
