    voluntary work/work experience question

Im just wondering would 3 months voluntary work dealing with patients in a hospital be enough medical experience for applying to med courses? should i try get more specialiast work like shadowing a doctor in a gp/hospital? I'm applying to the local hospice too for the month of august . Have any successful applicants on this forum had similiar amounts of work experience to me?

    Hi,
My friend never had a chance to work in a hospital or a GP surgery due to some physical problems. I would like to know which unis she should apply to? Please help, any suggestions? from your own experince. Thanks

90 days is MORE than sufficient- it will for sure (in my humble opinion) give you a competitive edge. most people might get a day or week max volunteering at a hospital..and even then most people just work at a hospice or something

As long as you've learnt a lot from it, and can show that you have in your personal statement / interview, then it's enough! If you feel you should get an extra week with a GP to gain extra experience, in a different medical environment, then do so But yes, you're incredibily lucky to have got yourself 3 months of hospital work experience!!
