    Higher education?

    whats a higher education college? (is it just normal college and is higher education anything after school?)

    Would my a-levels be regaurgded as being from a higher educatiioc college? Im just filling in some forms and this is mentioned.

    Higher education is a degree or a higher national diploma or something similar. A higher education college is just a place that offered this type of education. A levels are classed as further education, wherever it was you got them from.

    As Giella says, most colleges are classed as further education. Point of interest though, teacher training colleges were often referred to as higher education colleges

    but most if not all of them have now been absorbed into schools or faculties of their closest universities.
