Cutting it TOO fine

My aim was have my whole ucas form done by the 10th, not neccesarily to send but just to have it done. But I'm STILL waiting for my reference (i'm a grad). Funny how its so hard to get hold of somebody when u REALLY need to. I definately won't be able to contact my ref over the weekend so will have to wait till monday. Soooo frustraiting! Regarding the deadline is it, for example, by 11.59PM 14th October or is 15th inclusive as well?

im in the same boat. just did my ukcats(friggin hard!) and now i await reference before posting. hopefully tuesday before the rush!!

I have the same problem too. My ref told me he would upload it thursday... But I am still waiting.. Hey Ho.

looks like there's a few of us in the same boat. Mine is all complete except the reference, which is my uni advisor from many moons ago (I'm a grad). I was lucky he remembered me at all! A bit nervewracking though waiting for him to send the reference. I'll be doing some phone harassment on Monday methinks! Good luck to everyone.

Make sure you email your respective tutors to remind them (gently) that the deadline is the 15th. If they have a lot to think about, they may have forgotten.

haha ... they are indeed very busy so can't blame them too much. I managed to get hold of mine over the phone and he said monday .....so hopefully I'll be ready to submit by the end of tommorrow, otherwise true panic will come into play!

Do not panic. Just make sure to stay on top of them. Tutors need to be reminded about these sorts of things. They put things on a back burner. I am getting a reference tomorrow as well. I do not think they mean it, it is just a consequence of their profession!

I'm not a grad, but the careers person at my school is absolutely s**t at their job. I sent them my completed application on th 16th September and they promised to send it two weeks ago. Now there are 3 days left and still havent sent it despite much reminding and nagging.....soooo frustrating

right, so I've checked my email and now am really stressing. My referee promised to do the reference last Friday and now, at 12:42pm 13th OCTOBER 2008 (2 days before the deadline), I can definitely confirm that he HAS NOT EVEN acknowledged my last email.. so, plan B.. turn up at his office/lab/house (if I can break into the university staff records office) with a box of chocolates, laptop with UCAS form on-screen and glycerine (for the 'crying my heart out' effect).

Monday 13:45 - just got back from some volunteering - still no reference - but monday (as he promised) isn't over yet ... and the waiting continues...
