What's your 5th choice?
Hi guys,
Just thought I'd start a thread about the '5th choice' on UCAs.
I guess I've been concentrating so much on my 4 choices for med that in a way, i neglected the 5th choice.
So for anyone who's sent off their UCAS already or have their 5th choice sorted, what course are you going for and maybe why?!
I'm torn between two atm and can't seem to decide!
oh, and good luck to you all!!Worrying is like a rockin chair - it gives you something to do but doesn't get you anywhere!
When in doubt, become friends with a group of hippies and get stoned. Then the magical talking elephant will tell you what to do

Didn't even bother. I'm taking a gap year if I don't get in, so I'd have to be released from my 5th choice anyway.
If I had to take it though, probably Biology Sciences at Warwick or Cybernetics at reading.LEICESTER FRESHER 2009

Human Physiology at Leeds, but only if I get four rejections and/or don't get my grades (which is looking fairly likely!).
If I get my grades and get four rejections, I'll reapply, grades in hand.First Year Medical Student: Keele

Biomedical sciences at Newcastle only because there is a chance of transferring to med in the second year. I really hope i dont have to use this choice though *being very optimistic*

because i have already done a degree, and now want to do medicine, i have no 5th choice...not through ucas anyway.
my 5th choice is to get a job! be a scientist. do some humanitarian work, travel. earn money and then...apply to medicine again the following year.
