Its for people in the manchester area my college got involved last yr and a few people got in you also get a lower offer (ie BBB/BBC) but STUPIDLY at the time I dint do it cos I dint want to apply to manchester then (it was a "I need to get as far away from my parents as possible" thing)

Im applying to:
BSMS
Southampton
Kings
Nottingham
Wanted Oxbridge but im not too keen on their three year preclinical course, wanted UCL but they have an age limit minimum of 18.
Well there it is. Fingers crossed and good luck to all.
HIa

I tried to do what you are doing last year, I have to tell you that although these places state they will take you at 17, they legally cannot register you with the GMC till you are 18.when i applied this is what i was told, even though i emailed admissions tutors prior to this, so it may be worth checking they can actually take you at 17 because i know nottingham was one of my choices at that time, (as was oxbridge) and they said that due to the nature of the course and that you will be dealing with patients from the onset, it would not be possible ( its something to do with, protection of minors and confidentiality laws), this may have changed but id be extra sure if i were you, or consider deferring entry

all the best
