Argh! Mine is finished and my plan has been to do one last thorough check before sending it on the 29th (tomorrow).
I'm just super terrified about sending it and then realising that i've forgotten something or i've made a mistake.
Ah well, hopefully tomorrow i will gather enough testicular fortitude to just click the button and be done with it. Can't even ebgin to imagine how bad the wait for replies is going to be.

Having to wait on something thats out of your hands i.e references is so frustrating especially when everything else is sitting there ready to go. Mind you, even when everything is all present, you read it over and over and over...just in case you missed something, and even went its sent still feel you've missed something lol like leaving the house and thinking hmmm DID I turn the gas off?? :P

Hoonosewot88 I must have checked and re-checked it so many times, I was paranoid! Then did the whole pay/send process only for the darn thing to tell me payment process not complete due to some error! Lol self induced palpitations let me tell you. Sorted it out though so its all good.

March, 6 months and a bit away, and the dreaded UCAS email saying your application has been updated. And its so true, seeing people go through it the last year is strange and now its our turn to step up to the plate

To those chasing up references, good luck, gently applied pressure never hurt anyone, unless of course the person writing yours is on the brink of a breakdown in which case tread carefully :P I was real lucky with mine, she was brilliant

Lol, trawled through loads of threads in the lead up to sending it off, now that its done, I still cant drag myself away, idle hands and all, so thats the reason for this thread, to keep our minds occupied!! :P

To those that have sent them already, well done and good luck!
To those waiting on a few bits and pieces, deep breaths and good luck!
To all of us, GOOD BLOOMING LUCK!!

Ooof! There is some serious cutting to do... Maybe remove unnecessary adjectives and there are always sentences that can be re-phrased to shorten things.

Hate it when it does that, using word and then transfering it is so misleading as it never equates to the same number of lines, then again it is probably due to the differences in font and size (?).

I ended up having to cut it to around 3500 characters if not less in order to fit it all into the 47 lines and manage to leave a space between each paragraph. Its tough and to make matters worse, when you cut out what you think is heap loads, it will say you are only 1 line the poorer!! I dont get it.

A little tip though, cut out your conclusion and preview, it will then show you what it looks like and what paragraphs (if any) have only one or two words taking up a whole line...does that make sense?

But dont forget to add your conclusion back in again before sending!! :S

I dont know if that will help, other than that its a case of being ruthless, anything that doesnt add something to the whole statement, lose.

Hope that helps in some small way? Goodluck

Well all my moaning seems to have paid off, got my reference yesterday. It's amazing so totally worth the wait.
Submitted last night, now I join the ranks of the sleepless, worried masses.

Should I get a confirmation email from UCAS, or should the fact the apply site has changed be confirmation enough?
