Up-to-date Helper List

I was thinking, there's about 3 squabillion threads here for help, but they're all over the place - and anyone wanting help from more than just the last page worth has to sift through people who have left NMM, random chatter, people who are totally unsuitable, etc etc.

And it's really not that hard to edit a post to update it. So if everyone agrees, hows about pretty please you post in here if you're willing to help folks, with what your current and past situation is - especially what unis you got in for or are studying at, because as our dear friend Gizmo points out oh so often, half the winning is being in the right race wearing the right shoes - and i will make a list, so anyone can come in and pick the appropriate people from the list:

---

List of Willing Victims:

1. Sim New Media Medicine - View Profile: Singh.Simran
Currently: Summer before uni, 1st time applicant, got into Cambridge, Imperial, and UCL. A2: 3 Sciences, Law, and Classics.
Has "example statement" for you NOT to plagarise: Yah, sure.

2. Aggers http://www.newmediamedicine.com/foru.../agneishd.html
Currently: Entering uni, got into Imperial and Kings. A2: Bio, Chem, Maths, and Law
Has severly checked, "top class" statement: Sort of

3. 3. Zack New Media Medicine - View Profile: Zack
Got into King's, Manchester, Liverpool and BSMS
A2: Bio, Chem and English Lit

4. Elz New Media Medicine - View Profile: elz
i applied as mature student, and have a degree and got 3 out of 4 offers.

5. Wanna B Doctor New Media Medicine - View Profile: Wanna B Doctor
I'll help out to. I'm a re-applicant , Applied to Aberdeen, Glasgow, Dundee and St Andrews: All offers.

6. Dr Noodle New Media Medicine - View Profile: Dr Noodle
Second time applicant through UCAS. Third time applicant through CAO. Only got one offer this year for medicine. Academic qualifications not great (even after resit), so my PS must have been fairly kicking

7. dreaming_princess New Media Medicine - View Profile: dreaming_princess

8. meep New Media Medicine - View Profile: meep

10. Matt641 New Media Medicine - View Profile: Matt641
'm a 5th year at Imperial and have sat on interview panels here so I can try and help you guys out.

I must have looked at about 30 different statements last year so I've seen plenty good and bad. Happy to help.
You can email me at mattlkw@gmail.com

11. 469er New Media Medicine - View Profile: 469er
As a super-mature student, I would [...] be more interested in, and more useful, helping out people from unorthodox backgrounds. I also think unorthodox medical students are good for medicine[..] Affirmative action, and all that. Anyway, people helped me last year. Pay it forward, people.

[Me:] humanities grad with many, many years of [...] work history behind me, including some time writing & editing; mother of 3; first time applicant this year from an access course; got into Barts, King's and BSMS [not] Southampton.

Don't [plaigarise, just write your own personal statement] . But I can do detailed, constructive criticism and don't mind drowning in drafts.

Aggers, i'm planning to update the list in the first post, i.e. containing my sig, i.e. not yours. I'll edit your contribution so it makes sense in that context
