    Qualifications - a quick question

    Hi all,

I have a question about the UCAS form. I'm applying as an individual now (as opposed to last year when I applied through my school).

So basically I just put down the qualifications in the UCAS form (I did the IB so all the subjects and grades I received) and nothing more? But how's UCAS and the unis going to know that I actually received those grades? Sorry for the stupid question, I'm a bit lost with all these things to fill out..

And also, when I'm ready with the form I just submit it and pay for it in the same way as I did while applying through school, right? Just want to check because I don't want any surprises when I submit it next week

    Thanks in advance

Well I dont know anything about the IB but for our A-Level grades they check with the company who produce and mark the exams, to verify your grades. Is there someone UCAS contact similarly for the IB?

When I did UCAS at school it was by post (I'm so old!!!!!!). But yeah..just click on pay/send, bash in your card details and you're away....

    Sent mine today 8)

Thanks for answering! I think it's the same with the IB so it should be okey. Gosh I'm worried because I'm not totally ready with my PS yet! And I usually submit everything really early!

Good luck with your application btw!

    Hello LittleNik,
Just out of interest, why are you applying to Kings' 5-year course when you have the quals for the 4 year?
I am thinking of applying to Kings too, but for the 4 year...but it's ridiculously oversubscribed so I'm not sure.

Well mr Weed, I applied for the GEP last year and had to sit the MSAT, which was the most hellish 3 hours of my life
Despite getting in the 83rd percentile I didn't get an interview cos they're cut off is something like the 93rd. I didn't figure I'd get that high again this year.

Also, 4 year courses have very few places - its night on impossible to get on one.

Besides, what's one extra year to persue a dream, my friend?
