Question for deferred entry students/forced gap year students
Ok, well exams are coming up, and providing I get AAB I'll be applying for the second time.
But, I'll have a whole year out of education, so my question is: how are you planning on keeping up to speed on your knowledge?
Obviously you dont wanna get to medical school in 2006 and realise you cant remember the difference between +ve and -ve inductive effects etc!Scared 3rd year medic at...

hi,
i will be out of education for nine months between this degree and my medical degree which starts in about 15 months. i intend to just keep flicking through relevant text books from time to time but the best thing will be the break. if you get those grades then use the year to have a break from studying and knowledge and address other areas of your application that may have let you down this time. at the end of the day your medical degree should teach you all you need to know and when you get there i am sure it won't take long to get back into the swing of things! i'd chill out and concentrate on work experience and stuff.
best of luck

Hmmm, it depends where you're going - you do forget stuff but as everyone comes from different backgrounds I found that it's taught from scratch. You'll realise where you're weak when you start then you can read up by yourself.
I had a gap year (forced to) and i did no extra before I started. Don't worry! (and I'd forgotten about positive/negative inductive effects. It's all ok!)
