What are you wearing to interview? How are you carrying yourself i.e. confidently/proudly/with a friendly demeanor/whatever ? Are you being convincing and persuasive in your interview (do you believe what you're saying)? Are you pulling the interviewers heartstrings/creating rapport with them? Making eye contact? Open body language/good posture? Not laughing nervously/sweating?

I didn't apply to Peninsula. I got into Peninsula through clearing. I got called for interview 2 weeks before the start of term. I was almost in tears when they asked me "think of a time when you were sad/angry/stressed, how did you deal with it and what did you learn from it?" I told them about the four rejections I had had. How with each letter of rejection I was bitterly disappointed, but also how with each rejection I learned I wanted it more. Four times I cried, four times denied, but four times my will was strengthened. Don't be afraid or ashamed to show someone how much you want something.

But that was totally from the heart, on the spot and impromptu. I told them that regardless of whether I got in, I would never give up. Even if it meant I had to do another degree and apply as a graduate, though not desirable, I would do it. It would be worth it. For me it was medicine and not Peninsula that was worth the effort. What's more important to you? Being in the South West or Medicine?

If you really want this, don't give up. Don't let anyone ever tell you you don't deserve what you want. Maybe there might be an alternative way into getting into Peninsula if that is really what you want...? Try speaking to people like Peninsula insiders tell them how badly you want this and ask them what went wrong? Potentially you can ask for your interview results and see where you lost marks? Who knows until you ask?
