If you're placed in Exeter, all our halls are self-catered.

If you're on attachment at Treliske, do you stay in accommodation near the hospital or is it down to you to sort stuff out?

If I'm correct, Wonford (RD&E) is consistently one of the best hospitals in the country - it's had the same management in place for about 15 years and is really thriving as a Foundation Trust, as is Torbay I think... Derriford is likewise a very good hospital. As for Treliske...well, it's improving!

Such stats are very misleading though - if you look at mortality and morbidity and ignore the more managerial side of things like waiting lists, Treliske is in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide... so for medical education it's probably actually rather good! There are a few Year 1 and 2 SSUs that are down there but it's not something that'd require accomodation (Plymouth SSUs out of town tend to be in Torbay in which case you'll probably use hospital accomodation) - but when you're in Year 3/4/5 in Truro you'll need to sort your own accomodation out (as anywhere else), although as there is no real student housing body in T-town there has traditionally been hospital accomodation in Tresilian House on-site (though this is always threatened with rebuilding!) I'm in 5th year in Torbay (Torbaydos as we like to know it) and we're all staying in the new hospital accomodation there which looks as though it's going to be a bit of a rave really...
