The interview is quite long winded overall with lots of queueing and waiting and questionnaires - but the main grilling you get with the 3 members of staff is usually based on medical ethics and how prepared you are for the course.

A couple of points they'll like:

    • Make a point that you understand the course is demanding and requires a lot of reading and revising in your own time

    • That you understand medicine requires both academic knowledge and good personal skills

    • Don't ever use the "I've always wanted to be a doctor" line when they ask you why you want to study medicine, which they always do - they want you o have come to the decision that you want to be a doctor through careful thought, because it fits your skills, because you'd find it rewarding etc.

They'll probably give you a little scenario where you're a doctor and you have a tough decision to make regarding a patient, try not be too controversial I think xD Try to put the patient first without breaking the law or anything ofc, and just make sure they realise you're considering all the different parties involved and different POVs.

    Good luck!
