*checks map* Yes, you're right, that will probably be easier. Especially since they say there's no parking, and I certainly don't want the hassle of trying to find free parking during the middle of the day in an unfamiliar city.
My letter says to arrive at 12.00 - three hours of admin seems a little excessive, I wonder what it's going to involve? It can't be the tour, that's not until after the interview.Peninsula, Exeter, year 2

My letter says get there by 1200 for a campus tour at 1400. Maybe we are on different tours. Ive got no idea why they would want us down so early. I could understand 45mins/ an hour to do some admin, chat to some students and get a feel for the place. But 2-3 hours?? We might have to find a bar.
Does anyone know how many matures they interview per place or offer?

Hi
I had an interview for the 4 year Dentistry course in December and my interview was 11.30 am and I had to arrive at 8.30.It was pretty busy as they were running 6 panels for the interviews. So there were 36 of us in the morning who were asked to turn up at 8.30.The admin took a while as they had to check our degrees take our health forms and CRB forms off us and look at our documents with address on passport/driving license etc then we were all taken into the lecture room and they gave us a talk about the interview procedure which took about 20 mins. I think the 1st lot of 6 people were taken away at 9.30 for there interview at 10 am.You have to pick an ethical case to talk about in your interview and fill in a form for which you are given 30 mins then you go for the interview which lats about 20 mins.So there was a bit of hanging around but not a long as it seems. The whole procedure was very well organised and you also get to go on a tour while you are waiting so the time goes really quickly.
I found this website for mature applicants to medicine and it has some stats on mature applicants and acceptance rates at med school which might be of interest http://www.geocities.com/alexism1974...#_Toc140591652
Good luck with your interviews.
