peninsula award scheme

Are there any awards available to students at the top of the year at Peninsula? Is there a gold medal scheme etc?

Hi,

I've yet to hear about any awards/gold medal schemes here at PMS. some medical schools will rank the students based on exam results and stuff, and the info is made available to the students, but they don't do it here (not in phase 1 anyway). They do have essay competitions and things like that, but they are optional and more for when you get in to your clinical years. They are bringing in a new end of year test, so they may do something like that for the highest overall achiever, but to be honest i doubt they will cos PMS isnt really competitive like that.

You'll know exactly where you compared with the rest of the cohort through the AMK. The top 5% or so get an excellent.

Otherwise, you've got to just chill, its the south west.

Why beaver away for a medal when you can go surfing?
