Age requirements for Peninsula?
Age requirements for Peninsula?
I’m confused about the age requirements for Peninsula. In the 2006 prospectus I received it says “ The minimum age for applicants entering the BM, BS programme is normally 17 years…” and same is said on their website - http://www.pms.ac.uk/pms/undergradua...s.php?chosen=7 . Is this just a misprint or do Peninsula accept people who are 17?
Cheers,
Big H

It says that for a lot of medical schools. I thought it was because some people from Scotland, who don't go on to do advanced highers, are 17 when they enter university. (I THINK...) Or another possibility- if you were really smart as a kid and moved up a class when you were in primary school, then by the time you start uni you'd also be 17. (Alas, I am neither Scottish, really smart or 17.)
That's what I always thought the reason was. Of course I may be talking sh*te so feel free anyone to correct me!

It might just mean that you must be 17 when you apply, ie. those people who are young in their year (ie. summer birthday like myself) will still be 17 when they apply and 17 when getting a-level results even though they'll be 18 by the time they start at university.
Give them a call and chat to them, it may be that they take 17 year olds, good luck!
