Time off
Dear all,
I haven't even started yet so have plenty of time to plan/worry.
I was wondering what people do if they have to have time off for the children? We are lucky to have family support so illness should be manageable but what about potential medical appointments / important school events etc? Is it possible to have a rare day off from lectures/workshops or is this a recipe for disaster?
Thanks in advance.Sam

Thank you. How easy is it to catch up if you miss a lecture? (speaking as an Arts graduate, it was relatively easy to fit in my three hours of lectures a week...)

In some lectures you get hand outs (a summary of what has been taught) im sure if you ask nicely someone will grab you one and if you dont understand it if you ask very nicely someone will attempt to explain it to you.

don't worry about having to miss lectures, i always worried about missing any but often you can teach yourself from the books and the web. Don't miss practicals if you can help it but lectures are sometimes a waste of time.

I find lectures are often not as good unless you have someone to discuss notes with after. Make sure you pick a good study buddy
