Personally and I mean personally here people, I think she should finish school. The compromise you have to make as a parent is great. Your child always has to come first. Everytime, their wellbeing is paramount. You can afford the time to wait so that you are not put in that position where you have to choose between you job and child. I am a full time working mum and every day a choice occurs, it may not be a big one that day but still a choice.
Have i affected my child? Am I a bad mother not being in the playground at the end of the school day. Will my child blame me when he/she becomes an adult because I was at work alot.
There are many other factors to consider working parents do the best they can but find me a parent who doesnt feel guilty at least once in their working lives when they step out the door.
Parents make it work and to do that we have to believe what we are doing is best for ourselves and our families.
I love my kids dearly and hope to be attending medical school in the not too distant future. My youngest is eight, eldest fourteen. How do I balance doing whats best for them and me?
Just some food for thought.
Good luck with whatever you choose I am sure you will make the right choice for YOU. At the end of the day it only matters what you think,Last edited by laurajb; 12-12-2008 at 02:48 AM.

How old are you? You don't wanna be a granny at med school. Become a nurse, that's a more suitable career for women, medicine is too hard for them (unless they specialise in becoming porters...wait, that's not a medical specialty. My bad).

I am in complete favour of marriage if it is based on the couples' love for each other and they both truly desire to be married. I disagree with marriage between two people who will do it just to please the parents or other individuals. If two people are happy not being married that is fine also. Take responsibility for your own decisions and don't base them on what other people want and desire from you.
