want to do paediatrics- but how competitive is it?
Hello,
I want to specialise in paediatrics. I'm applying for foundation jobs (FY1) next year- how competitive is paeds? Is there anything in particular you would recommend doing that would make my application look good?
Thanks very much!

Paeds relatively uncompetitive.
Suggestions similasr to applying to other F1/ST jobs - audit, research, teaching - related to paeds if possible but not necessary.
Once qualified you will need to do PLS/APLS to be able to apply to paeds.BSc (2005), BM (2006), MRCPCH (2010)
