    few questions about med school

    Hi
I am a grade 12 student and I live in canada right now. I am going to University of Toronto next year. but I also want to try my chance for an english university. here comes my first question, if I apply for Oxford or Cambridge or Imperial college next year , will they look at my university mark or high school mark?
The other thing is , I know I am probably going to have an average between 93 and 95 by the end of this year. I just took the sample BMAT test 2 days ago and I got 6.2 in the first section and something around 6 for the second section . I obviously couldnt write the third section , cause there was nobody there to mark it. but I had a pretty good idea for what I was going to write. I had no preparation for the test and I just wanted to test myself. But I think my BMAT mark is going to be a bit higher if I have some preparation. Now my question is this , will I make it to the interview stage with these marks ( for Oxford , Cambridge , Imperial college )? Are these marks too low? should I even go for it ?
My other question is how many people are interviewed for each of these universities.
The other thing is how many international students do these universities accept each year and how many people apply for these places each year?
    Thank you in advance

    Hello.

I did my undergraduate degree at U of T, so be prepared for 4 very tough years. As for your questions, I am assuming you are applying for the undergraduate course? I am applying for the GEP course, so I can't help you with your questions. As for how many international students they admit each year, they admit 6 internationals.
2010 Medicine (in order of preference)

    Oxford GEP (REJECTED)
    Imperial GEP (CONDITIONAL OFFER)
    Warwick GEP (REJECTED)
    Southampton GEP (Acknowledged)

well applying for graduate degree is my plan B.
but now that you mentioned it , can u tell me how tough it was in UofT?
and a few personal questions if u dont mind
what major did u study ,,, wat was your gpa --- did u have to write bmat , ukcat or mcat? cant u apply for both Oxford and cambridge? and finally why do u wanna study in uk , cause costs are a bit high.
The reason that I asked all these questions is, you are the first person that I know is done with his science. Im sorry if its too much
    thank u in advance

I did HBSc in Cell and Systems Biology. I wrote the UKCAT for grad entry. I applied to Oxford, Cambridge does not take international grad entry med students. I want to go abroad to study and I like the opportunity to live in another country. etc. Costs are high, but not more than Harvard, Yale, John Hopkins in the US. And with a med degree from Oxford, I am sure you are super competitive and will be highly employable.

    cool
so I assume your gpa and ukcat and/or mbat mark is really high. cause I know these universities are hard to get in to. wat u r doing right now may be my plan for future.
I guess u can work with your degree so u shouldnt have all that much problem with costs. one more question , how possible do u think it is to get into oxford and or other universities that u applied for in uk ? cause it should be highly competitive with only 6 places.
    Thank you in advance
