The 3 year clinical course
From what i understand the 6 year undergraduate course at oxford means that you have a 3 year pre clinical course followed by a 3 year clinical course.
Do you get a choice over where you do your 3 year clinical course? Because i'm aware that you can do the clinical course in cambridge or london universities such as Imperial/ UCL, but is it really hard to get into these places? As in is it likely that you will get your first choice of where to go?
Also, IF you did go and do your clinical studies at Cambridge/ London, how would you be assessed, would it be by the place you're doing the clinical, or would it be by oxford? And would your final degree be by the place of your clinical studies or oxford?
Any feedback would be much appareciated, i tried reading the prospectus but it just ended up confusing me!A2 Maths

Does the BA we get become an MA after a certain amount of time? I remember reading something like that in a Cambrige college prospectus, but didn't know it happened at Oxford.

Wow thanks a lot elles, that clarifies things a lot!
So just to check: supposing I did my clinical at IC, I'd end up with a degree from Oxford for my pre-clinical, then a degree from IC for my clinical years?
One last thing! Do you know roughly what percentage of people end up in London rather than Oxford? I.e. do more people tend to stay in Oxford or do more tend to go to a London Uni?
Thanks so much for your help!A2 Maths

The BA (Oxon) becomes an MA (Oxon) after 7 years from matriculation. It's a historical convention rather than being equivalent to an MA achieved from postgraduate study at other universities.
