BMAT - my favourite topic.
hiii guys
After emailing oxford university, regarding BMAT, and the importance of BMAT in interview selections, following is part of their reply to me.
"Thank you for your email. In the first instance, you have to have done a good BMAT, after that, the tutors will take the other subject criteria into consideration, ie the UCAS reference, personal statement, and of course the interview."
So as u can see from this reply, BMAT, my friends is perhaps the first and the most important step for an interview. And I know I have flopped it.

Be optimistic
Hiii Napooo, we should always be optimistic, right!! I feel as I have done bad in the BMAT, but I have not yet lost hope. I will keep on believing that I still have a chance, till that rejection letter come through (hope not though).

If you go to the Oxford Medical School website, you should come across an admissions statistics page. For your benefit, I'll quote a few statistics here:
In 2003 (for 2004 entry), 1187 people applied to Oxford.
Of these, 36% were called for interview.
I got the impression that not all of those short-listed for interview were on the merits of their performance at GCSE and BMAT. Some 'exceptional' and 'promising' candidates would also be given consideration, even if they don't do too well in the BMAT... So, I think we all still stand a chance!
Good luck!
