When do Oxford call (or not call) for an interview?

Does anyone know when Oxford are expected to give calls for interviews, seeing as the interviews are normally in december it can't be too far away but we've only just taken the bmat, and they need the results first
Also does anyone know how much Oxford value the bmat

yeh if they interview about 10th/11th then i think we'll hear as soon as they get our results... there is a table on the website (which i cant find atm, but il keep searching lol) which says which % you need to be in to get an interview... its related to % A*s at GCSE so you'll b fine i remember for 90% A*s you hav to be in the top 55% of ppl... so i imagine ul b fine!

cheers
same to you i spose seeing as you have very similar results
i'm pretty worried about oxford though, seeing as practically everyone who applies has the same, if not better, grades plus they come from private schools with links with oxford and stuff
our school pretty much discourages oxbridge applications, doesn't seem to hold mock interviews and pretty much carries a "do it yourself" attitude regarding applications and bmat and stuff
and it's supposedly one of the best schools in wales

The website also mentions when you should get correspondence & interview logistics:

You should receive confirmation that we have received your application by a letter from the Medical School towards the end of October. Please let us know by email (admissions@medschool.ox.ac.uk) or phone (01865 285783) if you haven't received this letter.

We will only call you to interview if we believe you have a good chance of being offered a place. We aim to call between two and three people for each available place. Short-listing will be based on your academic achievements, your BMAT score and on relevant information in your application. The Medical School will write to you at the beginning of December to let you know whether or not you have been short-listed.

If you are on the short-list, you will be invited for interview at two Colleges: one of which will be your college of choice (or allocation, if you made an Open Application) and the other of which will be allocated to you by computer. Your invitation letter will come from the College at which you will spend the first night, and this may be the “second” college. The College selectors will not be aware of your College preference at the time of the interviews (and please do not reveal it to them), and consequently the order in which Colleges see you will be arbitrary.

You will be asked to be in Oxford for approximately 26 hours: either from around midday Sunday 10th to early afternoon Monday 11th December or from around midday Mon 11th to early afternoon Tuesday 12th December. You will spend the first afternoon and overnight at one college, then move to the other college for the next morning.

The number and format of interviews at each college may vary but the selection criteria are common at all colleges. You will be interviewed by at least two academics at each College and by at least one practising clinician.

You cannot predict whether you application has been successful by counting the number of interviews you receive, so don’t become anxious if you receive either more or fewer than you expect!
