Well I emailed Sarb today and as usual she said there is currently no movement on the waiting list, but she also said that "the date for final decision for applicants is 7th June so I think there will be movement around this date".
Just have to stay hopeful (surely they will need some of us!)

To help put some minds at rest with regard to the last few posts, I know of a number of people (including myself) who still haven't accepted or declined their offer from Notts.
Personally I am having a real head vs heart battle deciding between Notts and SGUL and seem to flit between them on a daily basis. I have created endless pros and cons lists, got in touch with current and ex-students and visited both on more than one occasion, and I'm still struggling to tear them apart. There is every possibility it'll be a very last minute decision. I know a good 5 or so people in exactly the same position.
I realise this is a really horrendous time for those on the waiting list - but this fear that there can't possibly be anyone still holding onto their offer who may still decline it is unfounded, I promise! There will, without doubt, be movement after/around the 7th June. Fingers firmly crossed for good news for everyone waiting.GEM 2012:
SGUL: Interview 10/1/12
Offer 29/2/12
Swansea: Interview 7/2/12
Offer 15/3/12
Notts: Interview 29/3/12
Offer 13/4/12 :-O

I'm lucky enough to have an offer from another place but Nottingham is by far my first choice.
I'm worried that I will be forced to accept my other offer on 7th June, and then later get an offer from Nottingham which I can't accept.
So sera2882, if you and your friends could decide by the end of May that would be great!
That should give them enough time to make waiting list offers before 7th June (given that 4th/5th are bank holidays).

I have to confess I’ve been one of the many ‘new medicine media’ stalkers over the last few months, however, on the final furlong the time has come for me to come out of the closet and get involved. Like ‘jwhereat’ and ‘beinghopeful’ I am lucky enough to have an offer from elsewhere, but Nottingham is my first choice and so I only have until the 7th of June until I can wait.
I would like to whole heartedly ask Sera2882 and others in the same position if they could please try to make a decision as soon as possible. I appreciate it is a difficult, life changing decision, but a decision over the next few days really could have a hugely positive impact on another applicant (whether that be at Nottingham or another uni’s waiting list). The difference for me will be whether or not there is 200 miles between my girlfriend and I, so if there is any chance the waiting list can be brought into use over the next few days I’m unashamedly going to lobby for that.
Best of luck to everyone making decisions and waiting for news over the coming week or so.

In the interest of balance I hope you don't mind me pointing out that some people on the Nottm waiting list (i.e. those not fortunate enough to have other offers) may not agree with persuading those with multiple offers to hurry.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you get 2 weeks to change your mind with ucas so if you accept your other offer on the 7th and nots offer you a place the 2
Weeks after you can change your decision
