Congratulations guys - good to finally see some movement. I suspect there will be a few more offers on Wednesday and Thursday (deadline day). I looked into the replying to offers section on the UCAS website and found the following FAQs that might be useful to others who are fortunate enough to have offers elsewhere:
"Can I change my replies? - You can change your replies once within seven days of the date that you made them by contacting us. We send you a Status Check letter (AS9 or AS9D) once you have replied, please check it. To make changes or to discuss other possible options for changing if you're outside the seven day period, you'll need to contact us."
Therefore my current plan is to accept my other offer on deadline day and then change it to reject if I get an offer from Nottingham within seven days. Surely Nottingham wouldn't know (or need to know) whether I had rejected the other offer before or after they contacted me?
Would appreciate any comments on whether this approach will work.
Also, I am aware that I am in a privileged position and many people on this thread will want me to withdraw, but if I posted in the waiting list thread for the other university they would want the opposite as they would get my place.

Was the louise question aimed at me? If so no it isn't my name haha, my name is gemma but I bet you can't guess what my middle name is? Have you started looking at accommodation yet? Or are you doing halls?

Thwarted! Gemma and graduate entry medicine (gem) too similar.

Looking about for accommodation, don't want to live in halls. Barely enjoyed it first time round and I was young and insensible then. Your middle name is probably Louise!

Oh yeah I didn't even think about that haha. And to be fair the halls seem to be really expensive compared to renting in derby :S
