I am! for a second time. I don't fancy my chances though, i think Nottingham's going to be really popular this year, everyone I've spoken to are applying to Nottingham. Also didn't get any feedback from them last yr, so don't know if any of the improvements i've made are going to be relevant for there. I did love it at both open days though!
Applying to:
HYMS (interviewed 6th January)UNCONDITIONAL OFFER!!
Nottingham (interview 3rd March)REJECTION
St Andrews (interviewed 14th December)UNCONDITIONAL OFFER!!
Lancaster (interviewed 26th November)UNCONDITIONAL OFFER!!

yeh i'm guessing work experience let me down last year and a lower ukcat (605). I'm from northamptonshire. Good luck to you too. I'm sure if your ps is as good as your stats you stand a very good chance!

Hi guys,
I'm applying too & though Nottingham isn't the place I've got my heart set on (my home town, Southampton, is), it looks absolutely amazing...
I'm applying with A2 (and an extra AS this year) predictions of: A*A*Aa
UKCAT average: 692.5
GCSEs: A*A*AAAAAABBB
Thing is, I've already got a set of A levels in arts-type subjects and was really unhappy, didn't do well, so decided to join a different college immediately after finishing at the first. I went back into science because it was my passion at school & I have no idea why I didn't just take it way back when!
So to sum things up, I'm a pretty unique candidate and that's pretty much been frowned upon by every uni I've emailed (except the four I'm applying to...)
My choices are:
Nottingham
Soton
BSMS
Peninsula

Hey guys
Kinda new to this !
I'm a notts applicant too, and really quite nervous about my app- do any of you know how they analyse applications during the selection process? One of the reasons for choosing notts was because I've heard they put equal weighting on all parts of the application, which I thought might be to an advantage:
I got 7.5A*s at gcse, 4As at bio, chem, phys and geog at AS, predicted A*A*A ...but 635 in the ukcat =/
Pretty much everyone i've met applying for medicine has similar grades or excelled in some parts and achieved modestly on the rest. Weighing it up, it seems the only thing that's gonna allow any sort of differential between so many similar applicants is the reference, and to some extent the personal statement (although most people filter their statements through all of their school teachers and end up with something that sounds forced and not really personal).
Any ideas?

I've applied for graduate entry.
The questionnaire is sent out by e-mail -just asks for details on your work experience / shadowing / placements with contact details for verification. Should be straightforward.
