UKCAT cut-off
Hi i am wondering if Nottingham medical school have a UKCAT cut-off score?
I got 630 average
My GCSE's 8.5A* 2.5A
AS level
Chemistry-A
Biology-A
Maths-A
Geography-A
do i stand a chance of an interview even with my low UKCAT score of 630?
Has anyone got into Nottingham with a similar or worse UKCAT score?
any help would be most appreciated..

I don't know what you've been reading, but a score of 630 is most definitely not low. You have a good score, above average. Anyone getting above 600s shouldn't be worried!!
600 is average, so anything above 600 is above average obviously?
I'm applying for a100 2010 entry aswell, so I'll just tell you what I found out from research and the open day!
Notts interview applicants based on a range of things, not just ukcat. So they'll take into account your top 8 gcse's, and give you a score about it, yours are amazing so no worry there! They'll score you on your ukcat, and score you for your personal statement as well. In the open day the guy wouldn't tell us which one they put more emphasis on!
Also he said that if you have a poor ukcat, then a good set of gcse grades will compensate, and vice versa. You don't apply to that since you've done well in both!
Your alevels are amazing, so I'm sure you stand good chance with the criteria you posted, all down to your personal statement now! Good luck!

There's no single cut-off for Notts admission criteria. I.e. they never say "if UKCAT isn't over the following score then you won't get in". Rather, as Bananagirl says, it's a range of things, and the better you do at everything (UKCAT, grades, and PS- including non-academic stuff) all round, the more likely you are to get in.
