    2009 GEM students - what's your background?

(The subliminal question here may be: will I be the oldest...?)
I was just wondering what everyone's background was?
I am 35, mum of two and currently a history teacher. How about everyone else?

22 biomedical science graduate on a gap year. but still deciding whether to opt for nottingham and leicester. i wouldnt worry about age at all, i think the majority of postgrad students are over 25 judging from what my friends have told me. good job im mature!

21 and not yet graduated from Biomedical Sciences... I'm probably going to be one of the youngest there which will be a first for me! Only found out about my offer on Wednesday so I'm kind of still in shock at the moment.

    Gamsat Questions

Hi everyone, congrats on getting your colleges of choice, just a few questions, how did you all find the gamsat exams? I am planning on sitting the exam in sept, graduating in Nov this year and will appreciate it if someone can help, or even sell me some prep materials. Thanks all

Vmash.. I actually found the GAMSAT pretty easy, or at least a lot easier than everyone else I've spoken to seemed to. I realise that sounds snotty and big headed but it is true. I think the key is to not stress too much or you get flustered. In terms of preparation I didn't do much but I DID do A level Chem, Bio and Physics so I had a pretty general (if basic) science background which I think really helped me. PM me if I can be any more help

    Hey Colette,

I was on the waiting list but I'm afraid I can't tell you my number because I didn't know it! In the email I got saying I was on the waiting list Cathy said she couldn't tell us so I just tried to put it out of my mind. I have a GAMSAT score of 63 though, or 64 the way Nottingham calculate it (score!), so I don't know if that helps?

And thank you for your congratulations, as cliched as it sounds don't give up hope. There's still places to be matched AND if anyone gfets an offer from elsewhere they may cancel their notts offer. x
