Interview criteria
This sounds like i'm trying to get into the interviewers' score sheets
but i got these for the uni of sheffield:
The 8 categories are:
1) Motivation for Medicine
2) Evidence of committment to caring
3) Communication skills
4) Personal style / attitude
5) Work experience
6) Understanding of Medicine (e.g. insight into medicine as a profession/career)
7) Knowledge of Sheffield (course, area, etc)
8) Outside interests
Does anyone know the criteria for nottingham?

To my knowledge there is no specific criteria for nottingham, although the topics listed for Sheffield are basically exactly what every medical uni is looking for.
In a nutshell your personal statement should show:
1) Your enthusiasm for medicine, what made you chose the course and checking that you havent suggested maybe wanting to do something else instead (there are SOOOOO many medical applicants that if you say 'Id like to do medicine but am also interested in engineering' then they will just take the approach that you arent as dedicated as other applicants!)
2) That you can show leadership, empathy and intelligence through school committments AND things you do for hobbies outside of school
3) It is really important that you show you do actually have a life outside of work because medical school is hard work, and they need to be assured that you wont go mental!
4) That you have done AND LEARNT from work experience
This is necessary for personal statement, and at interview they basically want to talk about the above too. They will probably give you a scenario and how you would deal with that (at least they did when I applied 3 years ago!) e.g. What would you do if a friend told you her parents were getting divorced and she didnt know how to cope.
Hope that helps, any more questions/if Ive not understood your question then feel free to ask again!
Bex

seems to be the same as that of sheffield. The only difference is the scenario question.
Thanks
I will be doing work experience after my interview- is that a massive disadvantage?
How do people knw they like to help people? seriously

Divin_doc i understand dat ur a 3rd yr medic at the notts... jus wonderin hows lyfe dere becuz i really lyk the university but due to my clumsy wrk experience [no xperience in the medical sector] and not xactly the top notch grades 6A* 1A 1B and UKCAT score
; uni of nottingham doesnt show any particular interest in me. But ironically they just dont wanna reject me.. i don get it evry1 hav recieved their interviews at the notts xcept me but instead of expecting a rejection letter i get a letter sayin, " We're still considering ur application" i really dont get it .. wat does it mean??
