Can't wait to meet people! Well done to everyone who made their grades.

The night before we got them, I had someone from the college management team phone me up and ask if I minded the BBC South Today television crew film me open my results... Eventually I agreed, and so the group of us being filmed got to open our results a little earlier with the BBC cameras and the local newspaper watching.

I went on the Gazette website, and on the front page I found this picture:

haha yes. Congratulations to you too

I wasn't keen on the filming idea, so you're right, I can't say no. They kinda told me I had my grades before I even opened the envelope. Me and Jordan were so on edge and the staff were like "Ermmm, do you really think we'd let them film you if it didn't go OK....." Though the A in Maths was a shock.

Got my "Welcome to Nottingham Medical School" pack today! Eeee, excited!

Medic Freshers Ball!! Hmm, what to wear... Lol.

Vaccinations, boooo.

I need to get a next year diary insert for my organizer ... Isn't it crazy how until Thurs we didn't know for certain what we were doing, and all of a sudden, the rest of our lives are suddenly there! Not only that but things like balls and socials and hep B dates!!

I'm in a pretty excitable mood right now haha!

I was just going to ask if you had recieved your fresher's pack yet but it appears you have! Hope you've taken a good read of MedSoc's Bedpans and Dipsticks booklet

Any questions about anything (academic and social related!!!) feel free to shout, happy to help. If i can give one word of advice, if you've recieved that long long long list of 'essential books' in your pack, DO NOT buy any until you get here!

Made me even more excited to get to uni!

haha yep that would be me (although i would like to point out, I'm not half as keen as I was made out to be in that paragraph!! hehe) glad you enjoyed Bedpans

yeh definately don't be worried about books yet, i can pretty much guarantee you all won't touch your work for a while anyway

there are loads of second hand book sales throughout the year, and most of the books you'll find in the library anyway! if you're lucky, your Medic Parent (who I will assign you to when you get here!) might give you there books for free/cheap....

oooh just remembered another word advice - bring any fancy dress items you have lying around at home!

I'm not sure it's quite sunk in yet tht i'm off to uni, at Notts 4 med!
But bedpans n dipsticks was great and helped to continue my high! We've not received a booklist apparently this will be on NLE? or something. the only recommendation as summmerdaisy said is kumar n clark clinical med. i'm tempted to buy it tho! Unfortunately hurricanes seem to be attacking cuba which is were I’m off 2 2morro, so if I’m still alive I’ll see u wen I get back. How formal is the medics freshers ball btw, is it a dinner suits job or can we come a bit more casual than tht.
