well thats the thing...their is different criteria in the prospectus, the website AND on the questionnarie! lol
From what ive gathered, these are the criteria....
1) when it says EMA or mean tested, there both separate reasons on the questionare so if u have both, then they count as two criteria - therefore if youve got ema and means tested, then you qualifiy for the course
2) When it talks about living circumstances, it doesnt mean, cause your family lives there...... its much more then this -
u have to have "extenuating circumstances (you have to live at home cause your family cant afford halls or for you to move away to study for example) or u have specific responisiblities (e.g. your a registered carer for your brother and he lives in lincolnshire, or you have children etc etc ) meaning you HAVE to study in lincolnshire/derbyshire and you cant study anywhere else as a result of these responsilbities/circumstances
3) They apparently do take personal circumstances that would limit your chances as regarding getting in anywhere else, into consideration, but theres no room for this on the questionare! lol I just put mine in asterix underneath the question part so if you have them, bung them in, they count
4) Regarding first generation...if your parent/s are mature UNDERGRAD students still studying...this means you are still first generation...dont ask me why i dont knw why lol but there u go
5) get your hand s on the lincoln prospectus cause theres more of them on there
hope this helps!Last edited by Dr.BuddyLove; 31-12-2005 at 03:44 PM.

Yes, I receive WTC and CTC, both of which are 'means tested' benefits. As I also receive the NHS Exemption Cert with this, this was taken into consideration when I applied last year.

A present, the course is only for entry to the 5 year programme.
In order to get an interview for the GEM, you will have to sit GAMSAT.http://www.new.facebook.com/profile....35&ref=profile

Please refer to the start of this thread, if anyone wishes to contact Lincoln regarding status of their application, interviews, or such like. I have added two email addresses for the course leader and an admissions tutor dealing with applications for cert sci.

What I suggest to you guys with interviews is to post your questions in this specific thread, so future applicants can view them in years to come.

Extra extra read all about it.....
It appears that the cert sci is in Ucas extra. For those of you who wanted to apply but were unable to, I would go for it. But, I would call Lincoln and ask if they have any extra places for Medicine, as it may only be for the other routes.
Best of luckhttp://www.new.facebook.com/profile....35&ref=profile
