Yes, you will get the loan as you would any undergrad course.

Tangliss, any idea how many places are available on this course this year and how many Notts have held for us? A lot more people have offers this year it seems, so wondering if they've got the funding for more places or something.

Just emailed Emma asking this...

"I have been offered a place on the science certificate course (medicine). I have heard that about 25 offers will be made, but only 10 places saved at Nottingham. Will everyone who achieves 60% be guaranteed a place still or has this changed for the 2007/2008 intake?"

I’ll let you know when I hear back, unless someone else does before hand! I’d be gutted if we weren’t tho cause it seems pointless then. That Dr Hibbert guy tho, he doesn’t know for sure, and he said "bio med is half full" well it’s irrelevant cause we wouldn't be doing that anyway if we didn’t get 60%. We’d go on to the health studies degree....

Anyway guys, I’ll let you know as soon as I do!

I think they may have allocated slightly more places for medicine for 2008 intake, although as to how many I'm not sure!

Ohh righty! I thought they would, after getting the Times Higher award and everything and being commended for their Widening Participation, thought they would get more funding. Thanks.
