yup too true, not as if you get a second chance in surgery for example....you either hit the artery or miss it! lol

I wouldnt base choosing a uni on their method of examination...

Natalie, Dave? Can you please tell us what to expect from the spotter exam for SF1?

16 stations:
4x Prosections (variable difficulty)
4x Bones (easy)
4x Surface anatomy (easy)
4x X ray/MRI/CT (v.hard)

with 16 chairs in the middle.

1 min on each station, then 1 min on a chair in the middle.
4 components for each station: 2 flags / arrows to identify and 2 general anatomy questions on whatever the station is.

1 min is not very long, and they ring a bell every minute.

Goes something like this:
What the hell is tha...DING That looks like the...DING Which station am I supposed to be at?? DING

Do they ask us questions similar to the ones asked at the end of each DR session?

No no Dave its a 'beautiful ballet' according to Pratten. I never did quite get the hang of which way round the room I was supposed to go, last spotter I had to be practically escorted round the room as I was confusing the other students so much.

You will get the opportunity to go into the DR the week before exams and its well worth it. Go at the beginning of the week though as it gets really busy at the end.

I would say the questions are more straightforward than those at the end of the DR session- its still a 'you either know it or you dont' thing though.
