    Freshers Week!

I have a question.. it says on the Nottingham website that term starts on Monday 26th September... is that when the actual courses start or is that the start of Freshers week? if you know what I mean! Do first years go the week before?

Just to warn you though they were 9 o'clocks but they aren't taxing on your brain so you should be ok. J
Also Just beware that you will more than likely have a hangover on the day you have your photo taken that will then follow you around for the next 5 years!
If you can get someone in halls to get you a ticket for the first night out because if its anything like this year then by the time you get back from letures all the tickets will be sold out!

Alot of the things you need to go to are spilt into groups (you learn which group your in on the first day). The occupational health stuff is there to check up on which injections you need / have already had and you will probably need to have some blood taken.

As for nights out - tickets for the events usually cost from £3 - £5 in freshers week. The amount you spend on a night out depends on how much you want to get lashed ultimately! Student nights in nottingham are v. cheap compared to a lot of places though. A pint on campus is usually £1.50, and all drinks are quite cheap. The student places out in town will always have a load of deals on aswell. As a medic, don't miss the Quilted Lama - its a place where we get a 50% discount on virtually everything if we show our medsoc cards (medsoc membership is like £40 or something for 5 years).

Hope thats of any use. See you on he 26th (provided i pass resits!)
