Newcastle Interview - 5 yr course
Just thought I would give some feedback on the interview.
I know this should probably go in the newcastle section, but I'm mature too so........
The questions i got asked were pretty standard, and not geared towards me being a mature student, which surprised me, I would have thought there would have been some geared towards this.
anyway here are some of the questions, hope they help
why do you want to be a dr (obviously)
why not a nurse
what is the role of a dr in a healthcare team
why newcastle
what do you know about the course
route of dr post qualification
ethical q re: transplant, 2 people requiring liver transplant (one 54 - due to alcohol abuse, one 32 due to Hep C from blood transfusion who do you give the single liver you have to.)
qu re: patient looking up info on internet.
how do you cope with stress
recent health related articles in the news
and then q's from personal statement.
hope this helps...
Interview went pretty sh*t unfortunately - waffled too much/first thing I have done since new year etc..
but at least still have another interview to have a go at so not all bad!
