    he's Dougie's luvchild then.

personally i dont see it as long hours, though ma view might change when i start a family and so forth.
i see it as an opportunity to integrate wif ma peeple, and therefore its not 'ours at work, but 'ours doing what i need to do. it also might 'ave summat to do wif my abits. i'm pretty much used to putting in 50-60 our weeks de facto, its just i see it as 'ours spent working. ours at wurk fly by for me.

in contrast, i remember a time when i used to work in office jobs when days seemed to last forever, even though they were quite cushy jobs.

I'm sure they're are plenty of HOs who are only sticking it out because as you climb the ladder it starts to get better, and then there's the financial remark, prestage, whatever, associated with consultant at the end of it.

I know a sister and brother who both did medicine, the sister is still practising, but the brother enjoyed medical school, but after practising for a few years didnt think it was worth spending ten/fifteen years in a job he didnt enjoy just to become a consultant, and packed it in, he now works in fashion, lol.

.... I dont disagree with you? I didnt say every medical student is cut out for being a doctor and enjoys every single part of their medical education/career.

Why do I get the feeling that you are trying to cause an argument for no reason?

Im really not, the first time was just a mix up, the second time i was added to your point, that whether they enjoy the job, the rewards, or the potential for larger rewards, they still stick it out.

It would be much less confusing if only you could hear the persons tone of voice on these things, lol.
