But i want to enter neurosurgery (bit young to know exactly what i want, i know) but is it better to have an intercalated degree in Surgery or Neuroscience?
May I ask, what appeals to you about neurosurgery compared to any other surgical speciality? For example, what particularly interests you about spinal surgery?

i guess its just how little is known about the human brain and its function. Also every part of the body is dependant upon the nervous system, so i guess its just the fascination with all the possiblities of treatment.

With other organs (im sorry, i dont mean to offend anyone) i guess its just repleacement or trying to fix. Like with a heart, you would try to treat it using meds, pacifier or if need be a transplant. You cant do that with a brain, im not sure how to explain but i have always been intrested in the nervous system.
But i will enter med school (fingers crossed) with an open mind

I guess the things that fascinate us are the ones we know the least about.

You have to complete loads of clinical examinations and as you build a relationship with your consultant you're allowed to run resus cases (obviously under strick suppervision).
My only concern is that it might not be academic enough but does a BSc strictly need to be?
I'm really interested in EM and Trauma and thought it would put me in such as better position if I had this degree.
What does anyone else think (particularly those who have done strictly academic degrees)?
    Many thanks.
Which medical schools offer the iBSc in EM? Anyone know?
