I'm sorry to hear of your family problems. unfortunately, i think you may have to reapply next year. though, I'm not 100% sure. You're best bet is to speak to someone from UKFPO. I know that they don't allow for late applications under any circumstances.

Some places become available after allocations, and again in late June as people fail finals, so it may well be possible to obtain a F1 level posts later in the year, but you do need to talk to both your medical school and the UKFPO immediately.

We were told under no exceptions would late applications be accepted. You really need to talk to your medical school asap.
Good luckANYTHING WRITTEN BY ME ON THIS SITE DOES NOT REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF SOUTHAMPTON UNIVERSITY!

Hey,
sorry i deleted my earlier post.but basically due to family problems i missed the deadline for the UKFPO application.
at this moment i dont have a F1 position for this year. it seems that UKFPO have set new guidelines which means that posts remaining after teh first round will be offered to only FULLY registered applicants. This is to stop applicants moving around once they have been placed.
Therefore, i now have two choices:
1. stay in UK and do a service post, which will not contribute towards my training and therefore would need to reapply next year.
2. complete 1 yr in another EU country and then return to UK for F2.
what option do you guys suggest ?:S any help will be greatly appreciated. im hesitant to complete my internship outside UK incase it affects my chances of obtainng the speciality of my choice later on.
i look forward to any feedback
thanks
