Hi, I'm a penultimate year student from London. Got a question about the system...
How are the job allocations done? Is the primary criterion for a job a) preference or b) points score?
For example, say I have 70 points but don't get my first choice job, then am I given my second choice over a guy with 65 points who put that job as his first choice?
Thanks - good luck with your applications!

Looks like North Yorkshire and East Coast are the most unpopular again this year. I guess Hull, S****horpe and Grimsby arn't the top of many people's ideal destination list!

I agree with Spencer Wells. Currently the rules are that if you did not get your first choice school then you would get placed in the next ranked school that has places left available after all the first choice places have been allocated.

regarding job allocations, it is being done in applicant score order, so the person with the highest score gets their first preference. then the next highest person gets their 1st choice as long as the highest scorer hasn't chosen it already, in which case they get their 2nd choice. so if u have 70 points you will get your highest ranked job still available over someone with 65 points no matter how much higher they've ranked it.

but isnt it associated with the cambridge medical school, which i would have thought would have made it more popular like the oxford fs.
