medicine at monash

hey guys...
A question I will start my applied science degree at RMIT this year(2009) and sit the UMAT is it possible for me to apply for medicine at Monash and be given a place in 2010? can i be given an offer ,if my current marks are all high distinctions and hopefully my umat score too is really high will they even consider me?


or should i apply for an uni interstate what are my chances of being able to transfer to monash basically because in another state i would not have much financial help and wont be able to pay for my living for like more than a year ...are there any special considerations given ......is it possible to transfer to monash from an interstate uni after one year under special circumstances...
any help is much appreciated
