  1. Yes there probably are. Look at the UCAS website.
  2. thnks
do you think that there are some uni's that will accept any science GCSE at a grade B?
  3. With regards to Nottingham they focus heavily on GCSE grades, therefore if you was to get a B in chemistry or biology or double science then your application would not be taken further. However there is an allowance in GCSE physics, whereby if you was to get a B as long as you have taken that subject onto A'level and was predicted an A, then you could still be interviewed.

As for other uni's the best thing to do it look at their websites with regards to their admissions policy.
  4. omg thnk you sooo much
can i just ask though ..what if i (for some) reason ended up getting a 'b' in one or more of the sciences would i still stand a chance at any uni's
oh and just how much do uni's take gcse's into consideration because i am really worried :S
i am sure my results wont be bad. i know i will get no lower than a b in anything.
  5. Hi,

I wrote this in a thread on the Nottingham forum in response to your questions:

From their website: at least six GCSEs at grade A including chemistry, physics and biology or double science; GCSE grade B in English and maths.

If you get these then you stand a good chance of getting an interview at Nottingham, of course you will still need predicted A'levels of AAB (Chemistry, biology and another subject), good PS and Ref etc.

  6. hi, sorry for interupting
