Haha your eyes aren't close together...interesting...

Fencing is actually quite boring. I think it is anyway, the movements are too rigid but better than bingo.

Plans for the summer- save enough to pay my years accommodation before I start and few days somewhere sunny with two of my friends (hopefully). Thinking Barcelona so we can see Gaudi's buildings. You?

Aw that message sounds so cute, you should frame it

I'm working six days at the moment, covering sick leave as a ward clerk though five of them are only eight hours so not bad. Plus the staff where I'm working are so friendly. Have to stop chatting though my work is piling up on me, I have so much to sort out tomorrow!

Spent yesterday evening sitting in the sun with my friend in Temple Bar after eating pancakes, that was fun

Its ok im happy to wait for you to return to a solid state before you reply. Top tip: the cooler the environment the quicker this will happen, try to spend some time in the fridge. But seriously, I dont mind if it takes you a while to reply. Just give me a shout if/when you are bored - let me know how those festivals go, and (more importantly) I want minute by minute updates on your offer status.

Im a bit like you when it comes to drinking on consecutive nights: it just takes me much longer to recover these days. My body never really forgave me for what I did to it at uni.

Puppies are ok, but they seem to be competing with each other to see who can lay the biggest sh*t in the lounge.

'Desperately trying to concoct plans for the summer' [Sephie, 2008]- gave the impression that you did not have any plans yet, whereas really your itinerary is quite full! Hydro Connect festival should be the perfect venue for you to debut my song!

But seriously, after a summer of hardcore festivalling, camping trips and abuse from autistic kids, freshers week will be a walk in the park for you...

One puppy is a lurcher, and we are not sure about the other although we think it has some retriever in it. Im going to put a picture of them on FB soon. That is assuming the internet cable does not get chewed up beforehand.

I'd love to be able to paint at work! I keep hearing about these arts and crafts projects that some nursing homes do with their residents but I've yet to come across one unfortunately. Bingo is the best they get. One place in England apparently does fencing. Savage.

Yeah it means beach and no I can't speak Irish. I know a few phrases but I've forgotten most of it. Learning it at school was a painful experience even though it's a beautiful language so a lot of us here forget about it the second we leave the exam hall in June. Would you speak Welsh at home and that?

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one regarding the childishness It'll probably help to get through the tough times. I've found the nurses on the particularly busy wards (with the sickest patients) always seem to be more up for a laugh than on the more quiet ones.

Yeh that is quite sad. There must be something going on in your life for you to tell me about, other than the status of your offer (although that is a very interesting topic in its own right). Lets have a brainstorm for your summer plans...

This is what ive got planned: Cricket at weekends, out saturday nights, a bit of nursing in the week. Maybe a holiday somewhere hot in August. This summer is going to be hectic because we have just got two puppies - it is absolute chaos round here.

Speaking of NMM keenos... Ive just seen that Hughman is going at 16.3 posts a day. Blimey. That man's keyboard must take an absolute pounding.

hmm I think I prefer facebook to NMM. I used to be a real NMM keeno: enter every discussion topic and argue my point.... but now I dont really get involved. At least with facebook I am talking to people I (kind off) know. I reckon facebook will be more useful when we get to PMS.

Glad to hear you have a blueprint for the song in your head. Remember to include those lyrics I sent you, and more importantly remember not to tell anyone that it was actually me who wrote them.

    What’s news with you?

Haha don't worry I sniggered too and wondered would I be misinterpreted when I told people that. I remember in third class we thought that song was hilarious and made up our own Irish version- gnas ar an trá or something like that

Nah they were gonna be in it, I was gonna organise it or that's what I'd like to think. We were only messing anyway. I've been working at my old place the last two weeks. It's a private hospital but I love it cos it's small and everyone (whatever their job inc. docs) gets on so well.

Are you finished work for the summer?

Morgan spice and coke...horribly expensive in Temple Bar but very tasty. Also tried sex on the beach for the first time the other night, it was lovely.

Nothing weird happened apart from being asked out by a dirty auld fecker from Trim who asked me was I from Lithuania and if I was thirty. Was telling some of the porters about that today and somehow we wound up talking about a Christmas charity calendar...

Yup I do like Dublin! Lot of drunken eejits and sirens though. A LOT of underage drinkers out who tend to be quite annoying. Why can't they be civilised like us country folk and go drink in a field or under a bridge! Apart from that there is a good choice of different types of places to go out- pubs with trad music or rock/heavy metal and there's Gogarty's in Temple Bar which plays the classics (love it there) and jazz bars and places that play reggae. Lots of night clubs though not too fond of those. And gigs of course. I'm gonna miss this place.

Wooooooo
so I've swapped jobs!!!
I'm now in a main stream school where children both adore and fear me. Its odd having such small creatures give you there undying unquestionable adoration.

I was playing baseball with a group of them at lunchtime and it turns out small chirldren cheat like there is no tomorrow. Okay so I hit the ball and it went quite far. Yay off I ran with 20 or so 7/8 year olds screaming. Next thing I know 10 7/8 year olds descended on me, holding...

So I decided to write a blog, after what the past week has been I think I really need to.

So past few months have been hectic at best but here I am now, on my way to medical school....but not until next September. That's five months away?!?!?!?

What the hell am I going to do for 5 months?!?!

My intial plan didn't work out, turns sleeping all day and doing nothing all night isn't what my mother calls "productive".
So I got a job, I'm now...
