is it quite derogoatory towards black people?
i am sorry if this offends you. really. if i get enough people telling me ill change it.
For me its not about the minstrels and the whole "golly wogs" thing (which i hate very much! i hate racists!)
For me, its an in joke between my friends, Im called Dave, and this guy off league of gentlemen (funny comedy series) says "hello dave" as his catchphrase. so it was an obvious choice.
