Dear Sir,

I am a final year medical student, with an interest in hopefully specialising as an Orthopaedic surgeon. Additionally, I would like to be involved in teaching and training, along with clinical research.

Can you please advise me on what kind of activities during the the foundation programme will make me a strong applicant, so I can be selected to an Orthopaedic training programme? For instance, what is the criteria for entry into CT1/ST1 where you are based?

Furthermore, is there any way I can get involved in your teaching/research activities, as I enjoy academic work, especially medical education.

Your advice and guidance will be highly appreciated.
