Hi ihyatalha. As far as I know as a private candidate you have to do the practical and can't do the coursework. Depending on where you sit the exams cost varies. If you contact the exams officer of a local school/college and they are willing to help it could cost about £16 per module. For other centres that mostly take private candidates it costs a lot more as they whack money on top which is how they make their profits.
Hi mags82. I will be doing chemistry this year myself. The exam board I follow is AQA. For unit 3 and 6 I have a written exam and a coursework or practical exam option. Which one can I do as a private candidate and how much would it cost me?
