    Hi Louise
Thank you so much for your reply. It really does help.I really am so pleased to hear success stories such as yours of your pathway to medical school. The options are overwhelming!!!!
I definitely will looki into the access course.I currently live outside of manchester and the closest access course is actually MANCAT.I have studied with them before but I'm not sure what their reputuation is like as regards to the A2M course. How would I be able to find out?
What was the access course like for you? What was the most difficult part of it?
    What is GAMSAT?
I would consider relocating definitely if need be.That will be an exciting part of it actually.
So do you reckon I should do the access straight after I complete my diploma in Sept 2010?
    I can't wait!!!
Sorry,I'm getting excited about the prospect.
    Thank you once again.

    Hi Louise
Sorry to bother you but your background and friendliness on the forum and encouraged me to ask you for a bit of advice.

Basically I am 23 and am currently studying the ODP diploma and have just gone into my 2nd year.I have recently just found out that there are so many routes to get into medicine which has resparked my ambition. However,I don't know which route to take and would just like your opinion.
Should I do the access after my finish my diploma?
Or should I finish my diploma then work and top up my degree through the NHS and then start looking at the GEP courses?
Or should I try and get into pre-med/foundation?

Can you please tell me a bit more about your journey to medical school?

    Thanks for your time.

Hi, i am hoping for some advice. I was thinking I could do my nurse training and then apply to study medicine.

Is this just a really long way to go about it.

If I did the diploma does that mean I would have to self fund the medicine.

Just random thoughts and questions hope you don't mind

    thanks

    Hi there,

thanks for your mail. Hope you dont mind ive thought of another question. As im from Northern Ireland i wont receive any NHS support and will have to pay own fees. Do you think its visible to do say a few agency nursing shifts a month to assist with my finances. Baring in mind my husband to be is moving with me, so ill have to be spend time with him when im off also? work load wise is it attainable? Finances is obvioulsy a major problem!!

Are you finding having your nursing to be a bonus?

    Kindest Regards

    Sinead
