That's really sad that you have such mean co-workers. I really hope you can stick it where the sun don't shine when you get an offer!
Haven't heard from King's but then if they do as they say in their policy I should get through with 705, I hope, well maybe... lol
I got a confirmation from Soton, but that was really spooky as it arrived in my Soton uni mail account - and I didn't even put that on my UCAS form. At the time, I didn't know I was going to go there but somehow they've linked me. I am now worried they'll think I've puposefully left it off.

I have not told anyone because a couple of years ago one of my colleagues tried to get in to medicine but he did not make it (and has left to do something else now). Unfortunately I do not work in a very nice department, they would do all they could to undermine my confidence (as they did with my colleague), so I'm best off keeping it to myself.

By the way, have you heard anything from King's yet? It looks like some of the undergrad applicants have had acknowledgements (and even some interviews!) but so far I have heard nothing

why do they not know you want to be a doctor? I work in a small unit, so it's been quite nice to share my news...
the only problem is that the consultant isn't regarded that highly, I've been told, so a reference prob wouldn't do me much good
for my friend, it worked really well as she was in cardiology and even went on visits with her consultant - he wrote a good reference and she got offers for both BM6 and BM5!

    Hello!

Hmm, yes you have a point, we should be enemies, but I am not originally from Pompey so I think we can get away with it!

I dont know much about Southampton, have been to West Quay a couple of times and thats about it. During my training I had to go to SGH a couple of times, cant say I enjoyed it all that much though. Right now I work in QA Hospital up on the hill. I am a bit of a secret squirrel as no-one at work knows I want to be a doctor!
