Yeah I got one interview and I thought I did OK but anyways it obviously wasn't! I am pretty sure that i will not apply to the same med schools. The ones that I applied for were closer to the top on the ranking table however this year I will just be happy with any place at the med school closer to the bottom of the list. I still haven't decided what to do next year but I have managed to get a voluntary job at 4 different hospitals and its mainly to do with patients complains etc. So hopefully this will help. I shall try and find you on face-book
Yeah, I was really upset in the beginning, mainly because I felt that if I had an interview I could have really shown my full potential. But also I felt fustrated that I had academically and voluntarily done more than some of the people who got into medicine at my college. Unfortunately, I think it was the UKCAT that was my real downfall. Did you get any interviews anywhere? I've just tried to turn it into a positive, and focus on what I can do and achieve in a year out. I think that it will give me chance to get more work experience and really enjoy a break from education. Have you decided what you're going to do next year? And do you think that you'll apply to the same universities. I have msn, but never go on it. I have facebook: just search "Rachael Trow-Poole" and you'll find me! I really hope we both get in next year too, and we should be at an advantage with A level results and more work experience. Stay positive, because there are loads of people in the same position as us! xox
